Built upon the footprint of a traditional Yucatecan home, Casa Naj Táankab was designed to honor the “spirit” of its predecessor. We preserved the central courtyard—the heart of the home—as a natural distribution system that breathes life, light, and cross-ventilation into every corner of the modern structure.
Every room offers direct access to private internal gardens, ensuring that even secondary bedrooms serve as personal sanctuaries of peace.
A Journey of History and Perspective
The experience begins with a bridge between eras. The entrance features a pergola crafted from reclaimed henequen plantation rails, leading to a monumental Zapote (Sapodilla) wood gate.
From this threshold, the view is “infinite.” Your gaze travels through a curated sequence:
The Entry Plaza: Centered around a sculptural Chaka tree.
The Main Terrace: Framed by mature Mango and Avocado trees.
The Infinite Pool: Reflecting the expansive sky.
